If you’re looking for a different kind of guitar vibe, the new V6JMH definitely has more ‘guitar mojo’ going for it than most...

Check that left hand neck on a right hand body, for starters... Not only that, even though it’s a right hand body, closer inspection reveals that the full-toned, matched and calibrated set of Wilkinson staggered pole, alnico-powered single coil pickups are a left hand set, meaning that the polepiece sequence is also inverted, providing a unique tonality redolent of one of the most legendary guitarists ever...

Especially as the bridge pickup position is also inverted meaning that the pickup bass side sits nearest the bridge with the treble side angled forward from the bridge!

Otherwise, the cool-looking, unique-sounding V6JMH offers all the other impressive build quality and features found in V6 range, a comfortable, accurately-sculpted body; smooth, easy-to-play, mid-depth C-section neck, and a full complement of Wilkinson hardware designed for premium guitar performance.

The Vintage V6 Series offers an extraordinarily high level of specification, with many built-in custom shop level features. These include the revered Wilkinson WVC original specification vibrato featuring authentic bent steel saddles for that classic sparkle and tone; precision machined pivot points for total ‘return to pitch’ accuracy and a stagger-drilled sustain block to prevent string hang-up. An adjustable, ‘vintage bend’ push-in arm completes this definitive vibrato system.

Attention to authentic tone continues with the use of a matched and calibrated set of Wilkinson Alnico V single coil pickups, using a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup for clarity and dynamics and feature true vintage-style chamfered edge polepieces. With one volume and two tone controls, the 5-way lever switch and control circuitry are configured for maximum tone, evenness of response and output for supreme versatility.

This classic 3-saddle design has been around for over 50 years and is still regarded as the ultimate ‘tone machine’. Staggered brass saddles offer individual string intonation never before available in a design of this type, still widely regarded as the‘tone machine’. The baseplate itself is a faithful reproduction of the original, made from steel, very important in a bridge of this style due to the tonal effect it has on the magnetic field of the pickup mounted in it.

Featuring a solid mahogany single cutaway body with a genuine carved maple cap and flame maple veneer top, the V100AFD Paradise comes with single ply ivory coloured binding and a cherry red back.

With its mahogany set neck and rosewood fingerboard, this is a guitar that looks just as amazing as it sounds. The Paradise comes with a pair of WVHZ Wilkinson Zebra humbucking pickups that provide a seismic punch of chunky rocking tones.

Offering an extraordinarily high level of specification, the build quality and constructional detail of the Vintage V100 includes a solid mahogany body and neck mated in true ‘set neck’ fashion for maximum tone-enhancing rigidity. An accurately-carved gently arched body top additionally adds to the V100’s distinctive look. The mahogany and maple tonewoods are the ideal recipe for the kind of sounds that this style of guitar is renowned for – smokey, sultry, sweet-toned bluesy licks with a warm jazzy feel from the neck pickup help soothe the soul with an emotional calm. Charging to the other extreme with a flick of the 3-way selector switch allows the back pickup to rage and rampage through high gain amplification like no other. The Vintage V100 is a perfect example of Trev Wilkinson’s fascination with tone. Whilst working in California, Trev’s development work in the guitar industry led him to a meeting with the father of the humbucking pickup, Seth Lover. Recognising a kindred enquiring and inventive guitar spirit, Seth Lover imparted to Trev the exact specification of the mythical pickup units he designed, and that same authentic vintage voiced recipe is what Trev uses in the V100’s humbuckers to ensure you can get that elusive iconic tone from the Vintage V100. The V100’s rock solid chassis allows for positive string anchoring and location with the precision-manufactured Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. On the elegantly-shaped headstock, a set of three-a-side Wilkinson WJ44 tuners offers both the precise tuning feel and accuracy you’d expect from this type of guitar and – of course – the correct look, too. The fixed bridge VRS110STS guitar features a tidy and efficient intonated wrap-over bridge/tailpiece combination. The tonal powerhouse of the VRS guitars is the Wilkinson® double coil pickups.
